Payroll Management And Statutory Compliance Essentials
Program Overview
The Payroll Management and Statutory Compliance Essentials programme was successfully held on 15–16 April 2026 at MBSA, Shah Alam, facilitated by the highly experienced trainer, Mr. Nasrol Hadi. This two-day foundational course brought together HR practitioners, finance executives, and SME owners to master the complexities of Malaysian payroll and employment laws.
Payroll management is far more than just monthly salary payments; it is a critical function that ensures legal compliance, employee trust, and financial accuracy. The training was designed to demystify statutory obligations and provide a structured approach to managing compensation. Through relatable case studies and real-world simulations, participants were equipped with the practical skills to handle complex calculations and submissions while avoiding the costly penalties and reputational risks associated with payroll errors.

Programme Experience
Delivered through an intensive, hands-on methodology, the programme ensured that participants moved beyond theory to practice using realistic organizational datasets.
Day 1 focused on Payroll Fundamentals & Compliance. Mr. Nasrol Hadi guided participants through the intricacies of the Employment Act 1955, focusing on overtime rules and leave entitlements. The session moved into a heavy hands-on component where attendees practiced computing monthly salaries with various allowances and deductions, learning how to identify and rectify common calculation mistakes before they affect the bottom line.
Day 2 advanced into Statutory Practice & Simulations. Participants explored the technicalities of i-Akaun, Assist Perkeso, and the LHDN e-PCB systems. A major highlight was the module on PCB and Income Tax, where participants learned to align Zakat contributions with tax reliefs effectively. The programme culminated in a Comprehensive Payroll Simulation, where participants acted as payroll officers for a sample company generating payslips and completing statutory forms within tight deadlines. Participants left MBSA with the technical confidence to run an error-free payroll department, backed by the latest best practices in Malaysian compliance.
