E-Invoicing Essentials And Guides
9 – 10 December 2025
Program Overview
The E-Invoicing: Essentials and Guides programme was successfully conducted on 21 April 2026 at the client’s office in Menara Q Sentral. Facilitated by the expert trainer Mr. Kok Sin Ho, this intensive one-day session was specifically tailored to help the organization’s finance and management teams navigate Malaysia’s transition to a digital tax administration system.
As the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) moves toward mandatory e-Invoicing, this programme served as a critical roadmap for the organization to ensure total compliance. The training moved beyond theory, providing a practical understanding of the MyInvois portal, API integration, and the specific regulatory frameworks that impact daily business transactions. The focus remained on preparing the team to manage digital signatures, self-billed invoices, and consolidated reporting with precision and confidence.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Understand the regulatory framework and the mandatory implementation deadlines set by the IRBM.
- Identify e-Invoice transaction types, including those specifically exempted or prioritized within their sector.
- Master the implementation mechanisms, specifically navigating the MyInvois Portal and understanding API integration requirements.
- Apply e-Invoicing methods for complex scenarios such as reimbursements, employee perquisites, and self-billed invoices.
- Perform core functions within the MyInvois system, from initial login to issuing and validating e-Invoices.
- Assess compliance risks and prepare the organization’s internal systems for a seamless transition.
Programme Experience
Delivered in a professional and focused environment at Menara Q Sentral, the session allowed for deep-dive discussions on the organization’s unique transaction workflows.
The morning session focused on the E-Invoice Guidelines, where Mr. Kok Sin Ho clarified the timeline of implementation and the potential consequences of non-compliance. Participants explored the different types of documents and transactions that fall under the new system, ensuring everyone from finance to operations understood their specific roles in the digital transition.
The afternoon transitioned into a Step-by-Step Practical Guide, where the team was led through the MyInvois Portal. Detailed attention was given to E-Invoice Methods, particularly handling B2C transactions and the technicalities of digital signatures. The session concluded with a strategic “What to do?” roadmap, providing the management team with clear, actionable steps to audit their current processes and implement MDEC-approved solutions. The team left the session with a sharpened technical edge, fully equipped to lead the organization into the new era of digital tax transparency.
