Commercial Design Display: Window & Visual Merchandising (In-House)
Transforming Wings Luggage at Pavilion Bukit Jalil through an immersive Visual Merchandising masterclass with Mrs. Noor Farah to turn retail windows into high-converting storefronts.
9 – 10 December 2025
Program Overview
The Commercial Design Display: Window & Visual Merchandising masterclass was successfully executed on 24 July 2026 as an exclusive in-house program for Wings Leather Goods Sdn. Bhd. Conducted directly on-site at their Wings Luggage outlet inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil, this immersive masterclass was facilitated by the distinguished design and retail expert Mrs. Farah Noordin.
In today’s fast-paced retail landscape, a storefront has only a few split seconds to capture a shopper’s attention. Effective visual merchandising is far more than mere decoration it is a strategic sales engine that tells a compelling brand story, influences buyer psychology, and directly drives foot traffic into sales conversions. Transforming the actual retail store into an active learning lab, this specialized workshop was engineered to equip the Wings Leather Goods team with professional design principles, spatial techniques, and practical display mechanics to elevate their physical retail presence.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Apply core visual merchandising principles to create high-impact, customer-centric retail environments that command immediate attention.

- Optimize spatial design and customer flow, utilizing strategic signage, promotional props, and the "Rule of 3" to seamlessly guide shoppers through the retail journey.
Programme Experience
Having the training hosted directly inside the Wings Luggage outlet at Pavilion Bukit Jalil provided an unparalleled real-world environment. Bringing together Executives, Management teams, Supervisors, and Frontline staff, the cross-functional group worked side-by-side to audit and transform their actual floor space in real-time.
Mrs. Farah Noordin initiated the morning session with a deep dive into First Impressions & Design Fundamentals. The team explored customer buying psychology, analyzing how shoppers interact with storefront windows and navigate retail floors. The outlet quickly shifted into a creative studio during the Design Critiques & Conceptual Board activities, where participants audited existing product displays, experimented with material selection, and mapped out balanced focal points.
The afternoon session peaked with high-octane practical execution during the Spatial Design & Design Finale modules. The energy was electric as staff rolled up their sleeves for the hands-on Window Display Activity. Under Mrs. Farah’s direct coaching, the team applied the “Rule of 3,” optimized cross-selling product placements, and re-engineered the store’s window layout to maximize visual impact and customer flow. The full-day masterclass wrapped up with an insightful debrief session, leaving the Wings Leather Goods workforce re-energized, deeply synchronized, and fully equipped with trade skills to transform their stores into magnetic retail destinations.
