Capcut For Video Creativity & Social Media Marketing
Empowering content creators and marketing professionals at Thinkhub, Shah Alam with Mr Youmeden to transform ideas into engaging short-form videos through mobile videography, CapCut editing, and social media strategy.
9 – 10 December 2025
Program Overview
The CapCut for Video Creativity & Social Media Marketing programme was successfully conducted on 10–11 September 2026 as an intensive 2-day public training programme at Thinkhub, Shah Alam. Facilitated by Mr Youmeden, the workshop was designed to equip participants with practical skills to plan, shoot, edit, and publish engaging short-form video content using smartphones and the CapCut application.
With short-form video playing an increasingly important role in digital and social media communication, the programme covered more than video editing alone. Participants were guided through the complete content creation journey — from developing relevant content ideas and structuring a compelling narrative to filming with mobile devices, editing in CapCut, and preparing content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Combining creative planning, mobile videography, hands-on editing, and social media strategy, the workshop provided participants with an end-to-end approach to producing short-form video content for marketing, branding, corporate communication, and audience engagement.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Develop strategic content ideas - generating video concepts that align with company, agency, brand, or campaign objectives while understanding current short-form content trends.
- Structure stronger video narratives - applying the Hook, Body, CTA approach and developing storyboards and scripts for voice-over or dialogue-based content.
- Improve mobile videography techniques - applying appropriate camera angles, handholding and stabilisation techniques, lighting, composition, and the Rule of Thirds when filming with smartphones.
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut - working with essential editing techniques such as trimming, splitting, speed control, clip arrangement, pacing, transitions, text, layers, and audio.
- Enhance videos with audio and visual elements - incorporating background music, sound effects, voice-overs, auto-captions, and text templates to improve content presentation.
- Prepare content for different social media platforms - understanding the differences between TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts while considering audience demographics, captions, and SEO hashtags.
- Review content performance and quality - exporting videos in high resolution and understanding basic performance indicators such as views and audience retention.
Programme Experience
Held at Thinkhub, Shah Alam, the two-day public workshop provided participants with a practical learning journey covering the complete workflow of short-form video production from idea to filming, and from editing to publishing.
Rather than focusing exclusively on software features, Mr Youmeden guided participants through both the creative and technical sides of video production, allowing them to understand how planning, filming, editing, and publishing work together as part of an effective social media content process.
